PRINCE2 Practitioner status now lasts for 3 years. All Practitioners who have taken the PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification since October 2000 have agreed or are agreeing to this requirement as part of their initial application in order to remain as 'Registered Practitioners'. However, the shorter Re Registration exam for PRINCE2 has now been stopped by PRINCE2 owners AXELOS and replaced by the full Practitioner Exam. In order to retain Practitioner status every 3 years, one of the following routes will need to be taken: 1) An active subscription to the AXELOS PRINCE2 membership scheme each year and completing the required number of CPD points each year. 2) Taking the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam every 3 years. How do I choose between SPOCE's PRINCE2® Re-Registration (Practitioner) options?
This is the full 4-day training course which will prepare you thoroughly for the Re-Registration. The PRINCE2 Manual was updated in 2002, 2005, 2009 and 2017 and includes a number of significant updates. SPOCE recommends that individuals who have not studied PRINCE2® for a while choose either the classroom option or the Re-Reg Blended option (see below). The Re-Reg Classroom includes the latest PRINCE2® Manual; online event preparation; 4-days classroom training; all course handouts; refreshments and the Practitioner Exam. 2. PRINCE2® Re-Reg Blended
This package is ideal for individuals who have a need to re-study PRINCE2, and are looking for a mixture of self-study and classroom training. Candidates should prepare for the exam using SPOCE's PRINCE2® e-Learning, and then attend a 1-day exam preparation event to fine-tune their understanding with an approved PRINCE2® trainer. The exam preparation day and exam date can be chosen when you feel ready to attend, and can be taken online or at a SPOCE exam venue.
This self-study package gives individuals a cost-effective option to review PRINCE2 using SPOCE's e-Learning. SPOCE recommends that approximately 20 hours is committed to fully understand the latest manual, although time will vary depending on the candidate's involvement with PRINCE2®. Included in this package is SPOCE's e-Learning, the latest PRINCE2® Manual; and the Practitioner Exam. The exam date can be chosen when you are coming to the end of your study, and can be taken online or at a SPOCE exam venue.
If you are confident that your knowledge of PRINCE2 is up to date and you do not require any training or support, then you may choose to take this exam-only option. This is the full Practitioner exam without any training provided by SPOCE. Once purchased, SPOCE will contact you to arrange an exam date. The exam can be taken either at an examination event with SPOCE, or online at your own premises.
PRINCE2® Passport - is a well acclaimed and accredited eLearning for PRINCE2® Project Management. It aims to provide you with a straightforward (self-paced) route to becoming a PRINCE2® certified registered practitioner. This Prince2® e-Learning package is available 24x7 as web based on-line access.
Our accredited e-learning can also be used to support your claim for up to 30 Category-C PDUs for the PMI's Continuing Certification Requirements Scheme (CCRS). See all about earning and claiming your PDUs.

Why do I have to re-register?
The PRINCE2 Examination Board has determined that all PRINCE2 Practitioners should be re-registered within 3 years of their original certification. This re-registration comprises a full Practitioner examination. All Practitioners who have taken the PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification since October 2000 have agreed or are agreeing to this requirement as part of their initial application and so are now designated as Registered Practitioners.
How long does my PRINCE2® registration last for?
The registration has a validity of three years and Registered Practitioners will be required to take a re-registration examination to confirm their competence in the PRINCE2® Methodology before the end of the three year period.
What happens if I have gone past my 3-year period?
You should contact SPOCE who will be able to arrange the PRINCE2® Practitioner exam for you. If you have exceeded the 3-year term, you can still take the PRINCE2® Practitioner exam. In the meantime you should be aware that your "Registered" status is lapsed, and this will show on the Successful Candidate Register.
What format is the PRINCE2® Re-Registration exam?
The Re-registration exam follows the same format as the PRINCE2® Practitioner exam.
The pass mark is 55%. Each question tests one of the syllabus areas. The exam can be taken at any of SPOCE's venues (paper-based), or electronically (online) at your place of business or home.
