Lean Six Sigma is a comprehensive and flexible system for achieving, sustaining and maximising organisational success. Lean Six Sigma Green Belts are specialists in executing Lean Six Sigma projects. With the right combination of specialist expertise, statistical analysis and structured Lean Six Sigma methodology, the Green Belt is able to achieve significant improvements in performance and quality. A Green Belt might work alone or as a junior project manager in a team or as a team member in larger Black Belt project. The course covers:
Introduction - Quality Definition; Goals of Six Sigma; Metric; Process Improvement Methodology; Business Management Strategy; Roles and Responsibilities.
Define - Voice of Business - Introduction to Define; Project Selection; Introduction to CTQ's; How to Identify CTQ's; Developing the Project Plan; Project Selection Templates; Introduction to Project Management; Process Mapping.
Measure - Quantify the Current State; Define Performance Standards; Perform MSA on Y's; Establish Data Collection Plan; Collect Data.
Analyse - Link the data to defects in X's; Root Cause Analysis; Evaluate Process Capability; Define Performance Objectives; Identify Sources of Variation.
Improve - Implement Solution; Screen Potential Causes of Variation; Discover Variable Relationships; Propose Solutions; Establish Operating Tolerances; Pilot Solutions.
Control - Verify Solution; Validate Measurement System; Determine Process Capability; Implement Process Control Plan; Transition Process Back to Owner.
