Delegates must hold the M_o_R® Foundation certificate in order to take the Practitioner exam. The Examination Preparation Event is designed for anyone who has recently passed the M_o_R® Foundation Exam and wishes to receive advice and guidance in preparation for taking the PeopleCert M_o_R® Practitioner Examination. The event is not suitable for anyone wishing to learn or substantially revise the M_o_R® guide. For revision of the M_o_R® method, SPOCE recommends that candidates consider sitting on the 5-day M_o_R® course.

Download Course Outline

the Management of Risk Guide (M_o_R®) guide is intended to help organisations put in place an effective framework for risk management, helping decision making based on risks that affect strategic, programme, project and operational objectives.

The Practitioner Examination Preparation event provides an opportunity to apply learning of the M_o_R® guide to scenario-based tasks. The scenarios used on this event are in the same format to those used in the PeopleCert Practitioner Exam. The Foundation Exam (45 minute, multiple choice) must be passed prior to attempting the Practitioner Exam. If you require the Foundation Exam, please contact SPOCE for the options available.

The focus of this event is to apply previous learning of the method to sample Practitioner style exam questions. An Approved Trainer will be on-hand to provide feedback and guidance on the work completed.

What examinations are taken on the course?

M_o_R® Practitioner Exam: 3 hours, open book (M_o_R® manual and PeopleCert document “ ABC Consulting Ltd” only), consisting of 4 scenario- based objective test (each consisting of 20 marks). The pass mark is 50% (40/80).

The exam is an 'open book' examination. Candidates may make use of Management of Risk: Guidance for Practitioners (the official Management of Risk 'manual'), together with the PeopleCert guidance document 'ABC Consulting Ltd - Sample Risk Documents and Worked Examples of some Common Techniques'. No other material can be used.

Having passed the exam, in order to maintain the Practitioner Qualification, it is required that candidates sit and pass a 'Re-Registration' exam within 5 years of passing the original examination.
