Service management for the digital age

If you think digital and you think holistic then you are well on your way to understanding the objectives of VeriSM. VeriSM no longer sees the IT department as a 'business within a business' working in silo to service the rest of the organisation. It is part of the bigger whole, working with other departments within the 'Management Mesh' to achieve the ultimate in customer satisfaction.

Why VeriSM?

VeriSM in itself is not an ITSM framework like ITIL® or COBIT® so why on earth do we need it at all? Because VeriSM Training does something that the ITSM frameworks in silo, do not, it recognises that we have entered the digital age and technology is part of the entire enterprise. It also recognises that just because of this, we do not want to start our service management from scratch as an organisation. Rather our approach should be a unique combination of frameworks and practices, cherry picked to fit perfectly within our organisation.

In short, it is the glue that combines all other ITSM frameworks, focusing on ITIL®, SIAM , Devops, Agile and other frameworks and management practices, it provides us with the information required to make these decisions.

What is it?

Value driven - focusing on the needs of the customer.

Evolving - is continually updating.

Responsive - enabling a customer centric approach.

Integrated - helps us understand how the best practices fit together.

Service

Management

What does it do?

The basis of VeriSM is the 'Management Mesh' which contains all of the departments required to service customers i.e., sales, marketing ect and of course IT. The management mesh must be flexed in the right way at the right time to produce the most customer centric solution required. There are 4 essential stages as part of the service cycle.

Define - starting from agreed stakeholder requirements the orgsanisation produces a 'service blueprint' of how to fulfil customer needs.

Produce - build, test and implement.

Provide - the service or product is now available for us. This part of the model manages the activities need to keep the solution fit for purpose.

Respond - customer support for example, through any incidents.

Service

Management

Who is it for?

Literally ANYONE working within a service management function! Managers, executives, IT professionals and key stakeholders.
